I see people filling up non-reusable plastic water bottles several times. I want to tell you to stop doing that. I don’t want you to drink that water full of endocrine disruptors. You might suffer from hormonal imbalances already and you are not making yourself any favour, but you believe you drink plenty of pure goodness.
I see you eating the whole packet of sweets, and I am sorry, I see that and I want to tell you to stop. You are already on loads of medication, seriously overweight and chronically tired. Your meds will not fix you, if you won’t fix your habits. I’ve been there. I was binging on sweets. Not because I was deprived of them, but because my body was trying to tell me something important.
I see a beautiful girl who uses a deodorant a few times a day, because she is scared that she might sweat or smell… Regular deodorants contain aluminium compound and other chemicals that cause cancers (especially breast cancer!) and other chronic diseases. Call me crazy, but we need sweat to detoxify and by sweating our bodies regulate body temperature. Antiperspirant blocks the pores, so the sweat stays in your body. I leave the rest to your imagination.
I am not being negative. We need to wake up. We destroy Planet Earth and we destroy ourselves by the choices we make everyday in terms of our diets, cosmetics, household cleaning products, etc. Yes, I see things and I want to tell you to stop, but do you actually want to listen? Do you want to know? I don’t always make wise choices myself. And I don’t know everything. I learn every day and I want to tell you what I know. We all need to learn, find and filter information, because we are so lost in this artificial world that we think that what media tell us is the best way to enjoy life. Buy more plastic, use more plastic, throw away more plastic, because we are bored of what we’ve got, because we deserve new things, because we can afford new things, because we can recycle. Use natural materials whenever you can!
Artificial colours or flavours? We fake our diets. Do we need to add flavours to our food, if we eat a real food? The Nature gives us millions of flavours in variety of spices, vegetables and fruits. Very often, media provide us with outdated information on diets and sell us “fake food” that actually only pretends to be healthy. That’s why I choose to read, educate and teach my kids to make wiser choices (it is tricky though!) Most of the cereals sold in supermarkets are actually pro-inflammatory, full of sugar and make you hungry after a short period of time. They are fortified with artificial vitamins that can make more harm than good. Sugar free products are packed with artificial sweeteners (Aspartame is one of the worst stuff ever and it is linked to Alzheimer’s disease).
We fake our bodies. We pretend to be slim, thus we put those slimming pants on. Or, we will fake our skin colour, because darker is sexier and looks healthier. So, you are telling me that because you were born with fair skin, you look unhealthy? Do Nature and genes make us look “unhealthy”? I see a lot of nonsense in here, but I am not going to tell you stop. Use it wisely, if you really need to. I know, we suffer from lack of sunshine. I’ve been there, too. Sun beds were my addiction as well. Sun blockers and filters? They are actually more cancerogenic than sunshine itself, unless you are getting really burnt. I will wear push ups to pretend that my boobs are bigger. That will boost my confidence. What is confidence? Faking that we are what we want to be, but we are not? I know, I know, we are all putting masks on. Just take it off more often and be brave to be who you truly are, physically and emotionally. I want to tell you to love yourself more, because you don’t need that filler. You are so beautiful, why can you not see that? We need to be willing to open our eyes and see that we live artificial, fake and plastic lives. Pay attention to that beauty in your soul and that wonderful body that works so hard for you and that takes you wherever you want. Stop exploit it unnecessarily, give it love, acceptance and empathy, because this is what you deserve for being YOU. Stop for a moment, look in the mirror and appreciate your beauty, your uniqueness and notice the miracle of life you have been given. You are here, so take care of yourself. In the world, where you can be whoever you want to be and you can do whatever you want to do, be your truly self. Give yourself the strongest love, kindness and care you say you deserve from your partner, parent or a child. Take one step at the time. Slowly and with self-believe upgrade your confidence, love yourself more and more every day and don’t let media tell you that you are not enough.
I wanted to do fillers, botox and other beauty treatments so many times, but why did I not?
1. I don’t like anyone to tell me what to think, what to do and what to feel and the beauty industry does it all the time. They keep telling us how we should look, behave and think.
2. I felt that beauty industry manipulates people’s opinions and I didn’t want to fall into the trap of being persuaded some absurds. I enjoy having my own opinion, even if it comes across as weird.
3. I chose to put an effort on working on my self-confidence, self- acceptance and self- awareness in a mindful, conscious way without masking, faking and pretending, because I incredibly I value honesty, transparency and bravery. Be courageous to say no and be strong enough not to follow the crowds.
4. I am an “organic girl”, who strives to live naturally, healthy and plastic free live as much as it is possible and I am constantly working on upgrading my dream green live on many levels.
5. I am a role model for my children.
